Testimonials
I contacted Dorothy Danahy following a skills assessment that I had wanted to do mid-way through my career which made it clear that I would continue to blossom in assistant roles working for company managers. I was welcomed in an extremely professional manner by a consultant who had an excellent knowledge of Executive Assistant jobs. We spent a long time discussing my past as an assistant and my professional aspirations. In addition to the interview, I was also tested on my IT and language skills.
Already working at the time, I was considering new challenges working for company directors in different sectors, to supplement my professional experience and to discover new professional avenues.
Regularly contacted by Dorothy Danahy for updates on my situation, I one day voiced the fact that I was ready to move to a new position should an opportunity present itself. A few months later I was contacted for an interview with a company situated a few minutes from my house. Having now worked there for almost a year, I can confirm that this role suits me down to the ground and that my skills are put to very good use. I found it easy to settle in to my new team as the role was perfectly matched to my personality.
I think it is rare today to come across such expertise in PA recruitment, and I am delighted to be in contact with the Dorothy Danahy team as I am convinced that I am in safe hands before, during and after the recruitment process, receiving a consistently high-quality service.
I have known Dorothy Danahy for more than 10 years and the contact that I have with all of the team, as with Dorothy Danahy herself, is of an excellent quality, based on a true understanding of my needs and requirements, great professionalism and excellent advice.
In a specialised and demanding environment, we have developed a relationship of trust, respect and collaboration, for which I am very grateful.
Their methods are targeted and adapted to specific market requirements; they keep in touch, their manner warm and personable.
I have no hesitation in recommending Dorothy Danahy for its high-level recruitment.
My sincere thanks to Dorothy Danahy who helped me to quickly find a position that met my requirements. I worked with the agency on two occasions, firstly in 2008 (for a fixed term contract), then in 2010 for a permanent contact, my current position.
The consultants are always professional and reachable and I really appreciated their support during the different recruitment stages. If I had to change jobs, I wouldn't think twice about getting back in touch with Dorothy Danahy, as I know I can always count on their valuable help!
Dorothy Danahy is simply the best recruitment consultancy in Paris for bilingual Executive Assistants! I found the team highly efficient, professional, very approachable and smart. Not only they were interested in finding out about my requirements and interests but they also took into account my personality to find the ideal position I was after andÉ they also had clearly understood the type of Office Manager/Executive Assistant my employer was seeking for his company. It has been a win for all of us!
I would recommend Dorothy Danahy to candidates AND to employers; they do not simply fill positions they identify the right partnerships.
It was time for me to give new meaning to my professional life. After several years spent assisting the management team of an SME, I wanted to join a company with international scope. For this, I needed real expertise and astute assistance from a reliable team with a solid network and a true understanding of my requirements. And those of their clients! Dorothy Danahy helped me to accurately identify my ambitions and steered me towards companies that suited my know-how perfectly. Today I work for the Marketing and World Distribution Manager of an insurance and banking group. I'm thrilled.
No longer content with my former job, I signed up with Dorothy Danahy and was called back instantly to come into their Paris offices and meet with one of their consultants. I was immediately made to feel at ease by their lovely and friendly team, and had a long discussion about what I was looking for, as well as their current roles available. In the several weeks that followed, I was called regularly and presented a number of different roles corresponding to my profile, and to my career goals. In my experience of bilingual recruitment companies in Paris, Dorothy Danahy was by far the most reactive, and offered me the widest range of different roles, all of them in highly reputed companies. The consultants also paid close attention to the criteria I was seeking in a position, as I was not seeking an entirely classic assistant role.
Within a few weeks, I was offered a CDI in a fantastic and dynamic Executive Search firm, where I fit in straightaway. Dorothy Danahy even contacted me by post to congratulate me on the role and checked up how things were going after the initial few days. Almost a year on, I am still happy in my role but would definitely recommend Dorothy Danahy to anyone looking for an interesting assistant role in Paris.
I came across the Dorothy Danahy website when looking for a bilingual assistant position.
Their name often appeared on various job ads that I had seen. So I decided to contact them directly rather than go through their website in order to arrange an appointment.
I was asked to send my CV and was contacted later the same day to schedule a date and time for an interview with them.
Once in their offices, I completed a series of tests. Having determined the type of position I was looking for, they confirmed that my profile corresponded to their vacancies and that I would be contacted shortly and briefed about any suitable jobs.
I generally don't have too much faith in recruitment agencies, as there is often no contact after the well-known scenario of tests and interviews, or if there is contact, it is several months later.
However, Dorothy Danahy kept their word and two days' later they called me with a job brief that was exactly what I was looking for.
I put myself forward for the job, a bilingual Executive Assistant role for a financial services company, a permanent position I have now held for 6 months.
In addition to this, my contact at the agency phoned me several times to make sure things were going well and to answer any questions I had about my new role.
I am extremely satisfied with my experience of working with Dorothy Danahy and wouldn't hesitate to get in touch with them should I be looking for a new job in the future.
A big thank to the whole team.
A bilingual assistant for American multinationals, I always gave Dorothy Danahy and her team of "Wonder Women" a call when I wanted to find a new challenge and take the next step in my career.
Candidates are extremely well chosen, the jobs perfectly selected to best suit our professional qualities but also our personalities, all of which allows our bosses to succeed in their work.
The team accompanies me in my career but also in my life, as they never fail to keep in touch or to make sure that I am happy in my job.
Thank you Dorothy Danahy who is the agency to choose and to which I am very proud to belong!
I never actually chose to be an assistant. It was just the way things turned out for me and the natural conclusion to the line of education I chose to follow. I now realise, however, that it really was the perfect job for me because it meant that I got to do what I really enjoy in life; helping people. To be an assistant it is so important to feel a sense of service in your job and to have a very optimistic approach to life. You are constantly under pressure to perform and therefore organisation, flexibility and of course enthusiasm are all essential for the role.
I first met the team at Dorothy Danahy SAS in August 2004 and was rapidly placed in a globally renowned financial group in September 2004 and have been working there for 6 months. I couldn’t believe how quickly things moved for me and it was really thanks to their help and efficiency that I am where I am today!
If I could give one piece of advice to those looking for an Assistant position on the market today, it would have to be to improve your English. The job market is already hard enough as it is, so having English is an invaluable asset in order to get ahead of the game. It is also essential to remember that there will always be obstacles to overcome when it comes to finding and then keeping a job, however they should be viewed as challenges and not dilemmas because there really are no problems, only solutions.
I have known Dorothy Danahy for more than 10 years. During this time, I have had the pleasure of working with the agency as a candidate but also as a client.
My first experience with Dorothy Danahy was while looking for a position as an Assistant. The agency proposed several opportunities to me and I was quickly recruited.
Their ability to find positions that are perfectly matched to each candidate and the quality of their service are both very impressive.
I have also worked with Dorothy Danahy as a client on several occasions, to conduct recruitments for permanent or cover positions. The respective recruitment processes went well, from the identification of suitable profiles through to the signing of the contract, not forgetting the organisation of interviews.
Dorothy Danahy and all of her team demonstrate true professionalism.
I am delighted to be able to recommend the services of Dorothy Danahy to my contacts. The feedback is always very positive.
Well done!
