I arrived in France in 1983 and after my first few jobs as a classic secretary, I contacted the Dorothy Danahy recruitment agency in the 1990s as I was very interested in their job vacancies for native English speakers.

My first encounter with Dorothy Danahy and her team was very positive and throughout my career, with their help, I have been able to develop my profession as a PA.

When I was recently ill and away from work for 8 months, Dorothy always kept in touch with me, to see how I was getting on and to keep my spirits up: I really appreciated this very kind thought.

I really appreciated Dorothy Danahy's professional and pertinent approach, which is essential in matching candidate profiles with client requirements. They enabled me to find a bilingual Executive Assistant position in a large international group, which proved to be very exciting.

I was also very grateful for the warm welcome and service that I received.

A big thank you to the whole team for their efficiency and kindness!

I never actually chose to be an assistant. It was just the way things turned out for me and the natural conclusion to the line of education I chose to follow. I now realise, however, that it really was the perfect job for me because it meant that I got to do what I really enjoy in life; helping people. To be an assistant it is so important to feel a sense of service in your job and to have a very optimistic approach to life. You are constantly under pressure to perform and therefore organisation, flexibility and of course enthusiasm are all essential for the role.

I first met the team at Dorothy Danahy SAS in August 2004 and was rapidly placed in a globally renowned financial group in September 2004 and have been working there for 6 months. I couldn’t believe how quickly things moved for me and it was really thanks to their help and efficiency that I am where I am today!

If I could give one piece of advice to those looking for an Assistant position on the market today, it would have to be to improve your English. The job market is already hard enough as it is, so having English is an invaluable asset in order to get ahead of the game. It is also essential to remember that there will always be obstacles to overcome when it comes to finding and then keeping a job, however they should be viewed as challenges and not dilemmas because there really are no problems, only solutions.

Dorothy Danahy is simply the best recruitment consultancy in Paris for bilingual Executive Assistants! I found the team highly efficient, professional, very approachable and smart. Not only they were interested in finding out about my requirements and interests but they also took into account my personality to find the ideal position I was after andÉ they also had clearly understood the type of Office Manager/Executive Assistant my employer was seeking for his company. It has been a win for all of us!

I would recommend Dorothy Danahy to candidates AND to employers; they do not simply fill positions they identify the right partnerships.

No longer content with my former job, I signed up with Dorothy Danahy and was called back instantly to come into their Paris offices and meet with one of their consultants. I was immediately made to feel at ease by their lovely and friendly team, and had a long discussion about what I was looking for, as well as their current roles available. In the several weeks that followed, I was called regularly and presented a number of different roles corresponding to my profile, and to my career goals. In my experience of bilingual recruitment companies in Paris, Dorothy Danahy was by far the most reactive, and offered me the widest range of different roles, all of them in highly reputed companies. The consultants also paid close attention to the criteria I was seeking in a position, as I was not seeking an entirely classic assistant role.

Within a few weeks, I was offered a CDI in a fantastic and dynamic Executive Search firm, where I fit in straightaway. Dorothy Danahy even contacted me by post to congratulate me on the role and checked up how things were going after the initial few days. Almost a year on, I am still happy in my role but would definitely recommend Dorothy Danahy to anyone looking for an interesting assistant role in Paris.

I've been lucky enough to have been in Dorothy's files for over 20 years!

Dorothy Danahy & her team have successfully settled me into some terrific positions over the years.

The personal touch is very important to Dorothy ; she doesn't find the person to fit the job she finds the job to fit the person. It's not often you come across a team so people orientated.

I'm happy in the position I have ; however should I want to change I know which door I'll be knocking on !

The Dorothy Danahy team helped me to find a new job.

I would particularly like to congratulate my Consultant, who was in charge of my file, for the quality of her work and for her attentiveness.

I am very much appreciated her ability to listen and her sense of judgment.

Through her professionalism and understanding of the role, she was able to meet the expectations of both myself and of the client company.

I'd like to thank the whole team for their kindness.

I came across the Dorothy Danahy website when looking for a bilingual assistant position.

Their name often appeared on various job ads that I had seen. So I decided to contact them directly rather than go through their website in order to arrange an appointment.

I was asked to send my CV and was contacted later the same day to schedule a date and time for an interview with them.

Once in their offices, I completed a series of tests. Having determined the type of position I was looking for, they confirmed that my profile corresponded to their vacancies and that I would be contacted shortly and briefed about any suitable jobs.

I generally don't have too much faith in recruitment agencies, as there is often no contact after the well-known scenario of tests and interviews, or if there is contact, it is several months later.

However, Dorothy Danahy kept their word and two days' later they called me with a job brief that was exactly what I was looking for.

I put myself forward for the job, a bilingual Executive Assistant role for a financial services company, a permanent position I have now held for 6 months.

In addition to this, my contact at the agency phoned me several times to make sure things were going well and to answer any questions I had about my new role.

I am extremely satisfied with my experience of working with Dorothy Danahy and wouldn't hesitate to get in touch with them should I be looking for a new job in the future.

A big thank to the whole team.

I have known Dorothy Danahy for more than 10 years and the contact that I have with all of the team, as with Dorothy Danahy herself, is of an excellent quality, based on a true understanding of my needs and requirements, great professionalism and excellent advice.

In a specialised and demanding environment, we have developed a relationship of trust, respect and collaboration, for which I am very grateful.

Their methods are targeted and adapted to specific market requirements; they keep in touch, their manner warm and personable.

I have no hesitation in recommending Dorothy Danahy for its high-level recruitment.

The team at Dorothy Danahy is faultless in their welcoming of candidates and the different staff with whom I had the pleasure of speaking to were always very friendly and extremely efficient.

The appointment I had to register with their agency demonstrated their perfectionism and I felt immediately at ease there.

Regular contact and follow-up during my interviews was testament to their skill and attentiveness: Dorothy Danahy recently found me a position and I am very happy there.

I recommend this company - they will measure up to your expectations.
