I contacted Dorothy Danahy following a skills assessment that I had wanted to do mid-way through my career which made it clear that I would continue to blossom in assistant roles working for company managers. I was welcomed in an extremely professional manner by a consultant who had an excellent knowledge of Executive Assistant jobs. We spent a long time discussing my past as an assistant and my professional aspirations. In addition to the interview, I was also tested on my IT and language skills.
Already working at the time, I was considering new challenges working for company directors in different sectors, to supplement my professional experience and to discover new professional avenues.
Regularly contacted by Dorothy Danahy for updates on my situation, I one day voiced the fact that I was ready to move to a new position should an opportunity present itself. A few months later I was contacted for an interview with a company situated a few minutes from my house. As soon as I entered the Dorothy Danahy offices, I knew I was in safe hands and that a suitable job would be found quickly for me. After completing language and computing tests, I then met with Dorothy, who perused my CV and we discussed my options. She put me forward for positions straight away and it seemed to me that the office had many clients and therefore a large network. This reassured me as I previously had been with another recruitment agency who didn't have many propositions for me.
After I left the office, it wasn't long before I got calls from the various recruitment consultants in the agency. They understood what I was looking for and I soon went on interviews.
