Testimonials
When I met Dorothy for the first time it was in 1996. I was only a "baby" then as she likes to say...
Fifteen years have passed and when I look back over my career, I realise how precious her help, guidance and support have been to me.
My career couldn't have been what it is without you.
Many thanks.
The Dorothy Danahy team helped me to find a new job.
I would particularly like to congratulate my Consultant, who was in charge of my file, for the quality of her work and for her attentiveness.
I am very much appreciated her ability to listen and her sense of judgment.
Through her professionalism and understanding of the role, she was able to meet the expectations of both myself and of the client company.
I'd like to thank the whole team for their kindness.
My sincere thanks to Dorothy Danahy who helped me to quickly find a position that met my requirements. I worked with the agency on two occasions, firstly in 2008 (for a fixed term contract), then in 2010 for a permanent contact, my current position.
The consultants are always professional and reachable and I really appreciated their support during the different recruitment stages. If I had to change jobs, I wouldn't think twice about getting back in touch with Dorothy Danahy, as I know I can always count on their valuable help!
From the first time I met them, I had an excellent contact with the consultants at Dorothy Danahy. As a young assistant with an unusual profile, they listened and spent time with me in order to understand not only my background, but also my expectations and my personality.
I was immediately convinced by their approach, more centred on the candidate that on the job description. They were able to see beyond my CV and propose positions that truly met my expectations.
I'd like to thank all of the people with whom I was in contact at Dorothy Danahy for their availability, for having taken the time to reassure and encourage me if my application wasn't accepted, but also for their precious advice which helped me to optimise my CV and prepare for interviews.
Today, I regularly recommend Dorothy Danahy to people I know, and I make sure always to mention the quality service I received.
As a recent graduate, I was looking for a bilingual assistant position with a company where I could grow over several years. The direct approach and pertinent offers and solutions offered by Dorothy Danahy contributed to the realisation of this objective. I now work as an assistant and really love what I do.
I tell all of my friends looking for the same sort of position to give the Dorothy Danahy consultants a call - a quality service is guaranteed. So don't hesitate to leave your application in their hands...
I have now known the Dorothy Danahy team for more than 10 years, and the agency have helped me to find relevant, high-quality jobs on several occasions.
First of all, at Dorothy Danahy, it is the welcome that is impressive. In addition to the traditional tests, it is the interview that really makes the difference. There is an attentiveness and a real desire to truly understand the candidates and their motivations. I told myself Òfinally, people that are really interested in us assistantsÓ and not a millionth recruitment agency recruiting an assistant to make their client happy and understanding nothing.
Then comes the customer service; always the same consultant, we don't have to continually repeat our background, our career, our wishes. And the positions that they propose are a perfect match to our experience and temperament: never a nasty surprise, never any stonewalling.
Top notch professionals who know how to match the right candidate to the right job.
As soon as I entered the Dorothy Danahy offices, I knew I was in safe hands and that a suitable job would be found quickly for me. After completing language and computing tests, I then met with Dorothy, who perused my CV and we discussed my options. She put me forward for positions straight away and it seemed to me that the office had many clients and therefore a large network. This reassured me as I previously had been with another recruitment agency who didn't have many propositions for me.
After I left the office, it wasn't long before I got calls from the various recruitment consultants in the agency. They understood what I was looking for and I soon went on interviews. Two short weeks went by between my initial consultation with Dorothy and the signature of my employment contract - I think that speaks for itself!!
I really appreciated Dorothy Danahy's professional and pertinent approach, which is essential in matching candidate profiles with client requirements. They enabled me to find a bilingual Executive Assistant position in a large international group, which proved to be very exciting.
I was also very grateful for the warm welcome and service that I received.
A big thank you to the whole team for their efficiency and kindness!
I never actually chose to be an assistant. It was just the way things turned out for me and the natural conclusion to the line of education I chose to follow. I now realise, however, that it really was the perfect job for me because it meant that I got to do what I really enjoy in life; helping people. To be an assistant it is so important to feel a sense of service in your job and to have a very optimistic approach to life. You are constantly under pressure to perform and therefore organisation, flexibility and of course enthusiasm are all essential for the role.
I first met the team at Dorothy Danahy SAS in August 2004 and was rapidly placed in a globally renowned financial group in September 2004 and have been working there for 6 months. I couldn’t believe how quickly things moved for me and it was really thanks to their help and efficiency that I am where I am today!
If I could give one piece of advice to those looking for an Assistant position on the market today, it would have to be to improve your English. The job market is already hard enough as it is, so having English is an invaluable asset in order to get ahead of the game. It is also essential to remember that there will always be obstacles to overcome when it comes to finding and then keeping a job, however they should be viewed as challenges and not dilemmas because there really are no problems, only solutions.
Being accompanied in your job search is a very delicate task which necessitates good communication, comprehension of candidate priorities and an accurate evaluation of their skills and of course, their expectations!
I observed all of these qualities in each member of the Dorothy Danahy team and for me, this was essential in establishing mutual trust. Thanks to Dorothy Danahy I found the support, advice and encouragement that I needed to take on new professional challenges.
